Utah’s dining scene is having a moment and Park City has plenty to celebrate.

The inaugural 2026 MICHELIN Guide American Southwest has arrived, marking the first time Utah restaurants have been included in the internationally recognized dining guide. Nine Utah restaurants made the list, including three right here in Park City.
Handle, Matilda, and The Nelson Cottage by High West were each named MICHELIN Recommended, placing them among a select group of restaurants recognized by MICHELIN’s anonymous inspectors for quality cooking and a noteworthy dining experience.
For a town already known around the world for its mountains, outdoor lifestyle, and year-round experiences, the recognition shines a welcome spotlight on another important part of Park City: its food.
Park City’s MICHELIN-Recommended Restaurants
Handle

A longtime Park City favorite, Handle is known for its seasonal American menu, creative interpretations of familiar flavors, and focus on local and regional ingredients.
Matilda
Located in Snow Creek Plaza, Matilda brings together naturally leavened sourdough pizza, seasonal plates, and a lively neighborhood atmosphere from the team behind Five5eeds.
The Nelson Cottage by High West
Just steps from High West Saloon, The Nelson Cottage offers an intimate prix-fixe tasting experience featuring seasonal menus, thoughtful pairings, and, of course, High West whiskey.

Utah’s First MICHELIN Star
The evening also brought a historic first for Utah. Monte, located inside Beehive Distilling in South Salt Lake, earned one MICHELIN Star—the first ever awarded to a Utah restaurant.
Led by Chef Martín Babio, Monte offers a refined tasting menu that brings together local ingredients with French, Italian, and South American influences.
Three additional Utah restaurants received Bib Gourmand distinctions, recognizing quality food at a good value:
• Feldman’s Deli in Salt Lake City
• One More Noodle House in South Salt Lake
• Phở 777 in West Valley City
Koyote and Star of India, both in Salt Lake City, joined Park City’s three honorees as MICHELIN Recommended restaurants.
From elevated tasting menus and neighborhood favorites to après-ski gatherings and memorable evenings on Main Street, dining has long been part of the Park City experience. Now, the rest of the world has one more reason to pull up a chair.
Congratulations to Handle, Matilda, The Nelson Cottage by High West, Monte, and all nine Utah restaurants included in the inaugural MICHELIN Guide American Southwest.
