Labor Day weekend is one of our favorite times of year in Park City and across the Wasatch Back. Summer is still hanging on, the first hints of fall are starting to show up in the mountains, and there’s plenty happening from Park City to Midway and beyond.
Here are a few events to put on your calendar for Labor Day Weekend 2026.
Park City Miners’ Day | Monday, September 7
It wouldn’t be Labor Day in Park City without Miners’ Day. This longtime local tradition celebrates Park City’s mining heritage with a morning pancake breakfast, the famous Running of the Balls down Main Street, the Miners’ Day Parade, live music and festivities throughout the day.
Midway Swiss Days | Friday & Saturday, September 4–5
Just down the road in Midway, Swiss Days is another Wasatch Back Labor Day tradition. The heart of town fills with artisan vendors, food, live entertainment and the popular Saturday morning parade. It’s always a fun excuse to spend a little time in the Heber Valley.
Snowbird Oktoberfest | September 5–7
If you’re up for a drive over the mountain, head to Snowbird for Oktoberfest. Labor Day weekend brings live music, Bavarian-inspired food and plenty of Oktoberfest festivities to Little Cottonwood Canyon.
Or Just Enjoy the Mountains
Not everything needs an itinerary. Hit the trails, take a bike ride, find a sunny patio or squeeze in one more summer mountain adventure. September is a pretty special time around here, when summer and fall seem to overlap for just a little while.
However you spend it, Labor Day weekend is a great time to be in the mountains.
